Autumn nail picks

It might look like my nails have been living in Bahama Mama since the start of autumn, but I can assure you that I have donned other colours on my nails! These are a few nail polishes that I can’t get enough of during the autumn months…

Essie Dressed to Kilt – I’m all about pastels and nudes until autumn season hits, and then I just can’t seem to get enough of reds and berry shades. Dressed to Kilt is a beautiful deep red that looks so lovely on the nails and always makes me feel so sophisticated when I wear it.

Essie Summit of Style (swatch) – For all the glitter lovers out there, you need to paint your nails with Summit of Style. This gold glitter-packed nail polish is the perfect festive polish in my eyes, and can be worn in so many ways. Pack your nails with glitter to make sure they get noticed, or use gold glitter for a pretty ring finger manicure that’s perfect for this time of year.

Nails Inc Gel Effect in Colville Mews* (swatch) – Looking for a neutral nude that’s going to instantly make your nails look a million times better? Colville Mews is a beautiful nude that works really well against my paler skin, and the gel effect formula means that this polish has a super glossy finish that also lasts well.

ORLY Rage* (swatch) – If you’re a fan of rose gold then you need to give this nail polish a try. It gives a gorgeous foil finish to the nails without going streaky, and is surprisingly long wearing so it’s a great pick for this time of year. Whether you’ve got a special occasion coming up or just want to treat yourself to beautiful nails, Rage is the one for you.

Illamasqua Raindrops (swatch) – Raindrops is probably the most unusual nail colours in my stash as it’s a stunning blue shade with a hint of grey… a bit like the autumn skies we’re used to seeing now. What I love is that Raindrops has a pretty silver shimmer running through it that resembles raindrops, but it’s still very subtle so is perfect for every day wear.
