Batiste 2 in 1 Invisible Dry Shampoo & Conditioner

I’m sure you’ll come to find that my reviews tend to be about things I’m absolutely obsessed with, or the few products that have really disappointed me.. to the point that I wouldn’t want anyone else to waste their money! Unfortunately today’s review is of the latter, and what makes it even more surprising is that I’m such a loyal user of Batiste products.

A few weeks back I picked up the new Batiste 2 in 1 Invisible Dry Shampoo & Conditioner on a whim, and decided to use it that night as I was heading out to an engagement party and felt like my hair needed a bit of a boost. I had curled my hair and all that was left to do was add a touch of dry shampoo to give my roots some more oomph and get rid of any excess oil.

Unfortunately what I was left with was extremely greasy roots that looked like they hadn’t been washed in about a week. The most annoying part was that my hair was clean before using this product, and I didn’t have a back-up dry shampoo so I had to make do with back-combing and hairspray to try and disguise the oily mess that was my hair.

If you’re looking for a dry shampoo then I’d certainly recommend picking up one of the original varieties from the range (Blush and Tropical are my personal favourites) but I’d steer clear of this product if I were you. Rather than completely wasting money, I now use it on the ends of my hair after styling as it does condition and smooth the hair.. just make sure to keep it away from the roots if you want to keep your hair looking clean!
