I’m sure you’ve probably all heard about Becca’s famous Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop, so obviously I went into Sephora while on honeymoon with the intent of picking up this gorgeous highlighter. The surprise was that I came out with not only a different shade of the powder skin perfector, but with a set of minis that also included the liquid highlighter! Now I’m not normally the biggest fan of liquid highlighters, but I could definitely make an exception for this lovely little set.
After doing my fair of swatching in Sephora I decided that Opal was the highlighter for me. Opal has much more of a golden tone to it as opposed to the peachy, almost rose gold tones of Champagne Pop, and I thought it would be the perfect shade of highlighter for wear all year round. The Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed really is a lovely highlighting powder as it’s soft, buttery and applies so nicely to the skin. It has a gorgeous shimmer that isn’t too glittery or in your face, but it can also be built up for a much more sparkly look if that’s what you’re looking for.
While the liquid Shimmering Skin Perfector wasn’t the reason why I picked up this set, I’m so glad to have this little tube of highlighter in my life now as it has such a beautiful on the skin. A quick blend with my fingers or a small brush leaves my skin looking so glowy but still natural, and what I love is that this liquid stays put all day long without any signs of budging.
The Shimmering Skin Perfectors may be pricey at around £30, but I certainly think they’re worth trying if you ever fancy a makeup splurge!
