I do love a good blogger bandwagon and this one just had to be jumped on as I’ve really been embracing cream blushers as we get closer to summer. Bourjois are known for their little round pot powder blushers and now they have added a cream blush to the little round pot family which I was very excited about. There are 4 different shades and after a lot of deliberating, I decided to go for the Bourjois Cream Blush in Rose Tender (03) as I was missing a pink cream blush in my makeup bag. I’ve heard a lot more about shades 01 (Nude Velvet) and 02 (Healthy Glow) which is what made it a hard choice, but in the end I wanted something a bit more pink toned that would give my cheeks that ‘just pinched’ look.
The first thing I noticed about this little round pot was just how little it actually was. Compared to the Topshop cream blushers this dinky little pot looks as though it holds very little, although you still get 2.5g of product from Bourjois as opposed to 4g from Topshop. With this cream blush being about £2 more expensive than Topshop I was a little disappointed in the value for money from Bourjois, however the formula has totally changed my mind and I’m now happy that I have this little beauty in my makeup bag. This has to be the softest and creamiest formula I’ve ever tried in a cream blush as it feels like it’s almost melting in your finger which makes it so easy to apply, and the pigmentation is lovely as you can apply just enough to give your cheeks a nice flushed look. Rose Tender is a pretty rosy pink shade which really seems to complement my paler complexion as it’s not too bright or in your face, and I’m sure it would look lovely on darker skin too. The shade also has a nice shimmery sheen to it which makes it perfect for giving you a subtle summer glow. The cream to powder formula (that most cream blushers tend to have) means that you’re left with a nice powder finish which doesn’t look cakey or patchy on the cheeks which is always a bonus.
I actually bought my cream blush pot from eBay for just over £5 (seller can be found here) although they only have the shade Sweet Cherry (04) left. You can find the Bourjois Cream Blush pots in Boots and Superdrug for £7.99 and I feel like I’m now holding myself back from buying more of the shades as I love this one so much! Have you tried any of the new cream blushers from Bourjois?
