Every now and again you just feel the need to treat yo self, and I did just that the last time I popped on the Escentual website. Escentual is one of my favourite online destinations for skincare and this is especially true when their 1/3 off French skincare offer is available (unfortunately it’s not on right now but I’m sure it’ll be back soon), so here’s what I picked up in my latest Escentual haul..
No matter how many times I try a new foundation out, I always seem to go back to this one. The La Roche-Posay Effaclar BB Blur has become my go-to as it has great coverage but still looks very natural and flawless on the skin, and its mousse texture is surprisingly hydrating on the skin yet controls oil well. All in all I couldn’t think of a better base for my skin so this repurchase was a no brainer (original review).
The dry-skin saviour
I’d been on the lookout for a heavy duty moisturiser now that winter is well and truly upon us, and finally decided to listen to the many people that have raved about the Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré. My first impressions are that this moisturiser doesn’t feel super thick but certainly packs a punch as the dry patches have been banished, and it leaves my skin feeling so smooth and ready for makeup in the mornings. I’ll be sure to post a full review when I’ve had more time to test this moisturiser.
The balancing cleanser
While I’ve been introducing more moisture in my skincare routine, I still need to make sure I balance things up as I’m prone to a very oily t-zone. To help with this I decided to pick up the Bioderma Sébium Purifying Cleansing Foaming Gel as a way of controlling my combination skin, and in turn reducing the chance of breakouts. I like to reach for this cleansing gel in the mornings as it’s perfect for waking me up and leaving my skin feeling squeaky clean before the rest of my morning skincare.
