Summer reading list

It’s that time again where I realise that I haven’t finished a book in far too long and very much want to get back into reading, especially now that the weather is lovely and nothing sounds better than sitting out in the garden with a good book. Do let me know if there are any other books you think I need to add to my summer reading list!

You | Caroline Kepnes

I first heard about this book when it was announced that Netflix had a 10-part series based on the story coming later in the year, and knew that I had to pick up this thriller before the series was released. It’s first on my reading list and, although it may not sound like the most cheery read as it’s focused on the mind of stalker who will do anything to get the girl, I can’t wait to get stuck in!

The Handmaid’s Tale | Margaret Atwood

I’m already a massive fan of The Handmaid’s Tale series as I’ve closely followed the TV adaption and although some of it can be quite uncomfortable and difficult to watch, I’ve found following Offred’s story strangely addictive. I thought it was about time I read the book that this incredibly thought-provoking story came from, and I’ve heard it’s even more chilling than the TV series…

Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine | Gail Honeyman

I’m sure you’ve all heard about this book by now with its masses of glowing reviews, awards and mentions on social media. I’ve only just managed to get my hands on this and can’t wait to get immersed in the life of Eleanor Oliphant and the rollercoaster of emotions that I can only imagine it’s going to bring!
