Say hello to my new go-to blush, the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Exposed. This particular powder had been on my radar for years after hearing so many rave reviews, and I finally bit the bullet on our honeymoon when I was let loose in Sephora. It was a treat yo’self moment, but one that I definitely don’t regret!
After lots of umming and ahhing at the Tarte counter I decided that Exposed was definitely the colour for me as the warm rosy nude looked perfect for my paler complexion. This particular blush adds an instant warmth to my skin no matter how dull and grey a day it is outside, and I love that it seems to suit all skin tones (from the many swatches that I’ve seen online).
I’m used to the soft and buttery blushers from Urban Decay and Nars so I was really keeping my fingers crossed that this blush would be a lovely consistency. Thankfully, it is! Exposed is a smooth and nicely pigmented powder that’s so easy to apply and blend, and it’s also buildable if a stronger colour is more your thing.
I haven’t had a chance to test the 12-hour wear claim as, quite frankly, I like to remove my makeup before then. I’ve tested the wear-time during 8-hour working days in an office that can be both freezing cold and stifling hot (it’s just your luck really) and it manages to stay put with no signs of fading. If you’re searching for a gorgeous and long-wearing blush, look no further than the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed!
