I’m still a big kid and got way too excited when this package fell through my letterbox a few days ago. So a few weeks ago the very lovely Rachel from *RaikuBeauty posted about her experience with Batiste Dry Shampoo in XXL Volume which you can read here, and asked if anybody would like to be sent the bottle to try it out for themselves. Of course I jumped at the chance since XXL Volume is one the few that I haven’t got round to trying yet, and Rachel was so great to post it out to me.
What I definitely wasn’t expecting was the amount of goodies that Rachel included in the package and I was just so touched that she put so much thought and effort into it. Thank you so much girlie, you certainly made my day and I’m looking forward to trying everything out. Now onto my thoughts about Batiste Dry Shampoo XXL Volume..
As always the dry shampoo is formulated first and foremost to “banish oil” from your hair which it certainly does, with the additional volumising quality. I have to be honest and say that I did get good results from this spray in terms of volume as my hair is normally fairly thin and flat, however I really didn’t like the residue left in the roots which has put me off the product. The only way I can describe the feeling is as if you have dry sand in your roots (apologies for the shoddy description). But yeah, it just wasn’t worth it for me in that sense although I probably will still use tiny amounts of this after backcombing for when I’m going out and want big hair.
Thank you again to Rachel for being so generous and if you haven’t already please go have a look at her blog HERE which is full of fab reviews, haul posts and other bits and bobs from her life.
