Dehydrated skin saviours | Masks

A little while back I started a new series that focused on the skincare saviours working their magic on my dehyrated skin. Winter tends to take quite a toll on my skin with dry areas and a texture that’s not very forgiving when it comes to applying makeup, so I’m always on the lookout for products that will banish the dry patches and leave my skin feeling much smoother and more nourished. Today’s topic is masks, and I have to say that I’m so excited to share these 3 as I think they all do a great job of hydrating the skin, whether you’re on a budget or fancy treating yourself.

Glossier Moisturizing Moon Mask

My first mask of choice isn’t the most affordable at £18 a pot, but boy have I loved using the Moisturizing Moon Mask from Glossier. The mask feels more like a jelly in the pot but applies easily to the face, then all that’s left to do is leave the mask for 20 minutes to work its magic. I like to remove mine with a damp muslin cloth and then follow up with a hydrating serum and rich moisturiser for even softer skin in the morning.

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Hydrating Face Mask

Next up is another higher end mask, but to me the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Hydrating Mask is definitely worth the £22 investment. This mask has a very thick texture that feels so rich on the skin, but it’s still easy enough to apply and work into the skin. What I love about this product is that it’s intended to be left on overnight, leaving skin feeling much softer and smoother in the morning. I do feel like it makes a big difference to the overall texture of my skin and it does a great job of banishing dry patches.

Superdrug Vitamin E Leave-on Moisture Mask

Last but not least is a great option for those that don’t want to splash out on more expensive skincare, as I’m a firm believer that you can find some real bargains on the high street that work wonders. The Superdrug Vitamin E Leave-on Moisture Mask works in the same way as the Glossier mask as you apply a generous layer to the skin and leave the product to work its magic for around 10 mins, leaving much softer and healthier looking skin after a quick rinse.
