I don’t know about you, but I’ve always been a bit wary when it comes to oils. As someone with who tends to deal with an oily t-zone and oily roots, the thought of putting oil anywhere near my face or hair was an off-putting one. Luckily though, I’ve managed to find a couple of oils that have been working wonders on my skin and hair this winter, and more importantly, oils that don’t leave me looking like an oil-slick mess!
When my skin is feeling dry – especially around my chin and forehead – I now like to finish my evening skincare routine with a generous amount of facial oil. My oil of choice over the last few weeks has been the Sanctuary Spa Therapist’s Secret Facial Oil*, which leaves my skin feeling super hydrated and looking very glowy the next morning, and thankfully doesn’t encourage a more oily t-zone. The oil smells so luxurious (it instantly turns my bathroom into a spa) and a little really does go a long way. What’s even better is that right now you can save 1/3 on this lovely facial oil, so make sure you stock up before the offer ends!
I’ll admit, I’ve had this bottle of Roger & Gallet Fleur de Figuier Ultra-Nourishing Oil* in my stash for quite a while now, but I’ve only recently discovered just how good it is for my hair. As I’ve already mentioned, I tend to suffer from oily roots as well as dry ends – especially in the winter – so I’ve been in need of an oil that will nourish the ends of my hair without leaving them looking greasy. Enter this lovely multi-purpose oil. A couple of pumps is enough to hydrate and smooth the ends of my hair before blow drying or after styling, and it does a great job of keeping my hair hydrated all day long.
