La Roche-Posay Serozinc

Calling all skincare fanatics out there.. La Roche-Posay Serozinc has hit the UK! As of the 1st of January 2015, this coveted toner has been made available to us thanks to Escentual, and I was lucky enough to have been given the opportunity to try it out a little bit earlier! As a sufferer of oily patches and a blemish-prone chin, this zinc sulphate solution sounded absolutely perfect for my skin, especially when paired with the wonderful Effaclar Duo [+] (review here).

Serozinc* is a toning mist made up of only three ingredients – La Roche-Posay’s soothing thermal spring water, zinc sulphate and sodium chloride. As already mentioned, the toner is targeted at oily, blemish-prone skin which is right up my street as I have an oily t-zone and a blemish-prone chin thanks to hormonal breakouts. The toner works to mattify the skin by tightening pores, while keeping blemishes at bay by soothing and cleansing the skin of any nastiness.

You can use the toner in one to two ways – either by spritzing directly on to the face or by spraying on to a cotton pad first. I tend to go with the latter as I like to target the toner on specific areas, i.e. my chin, nose and cheeks, and what I love is that the toner feels as light and soothing as water. I then let the toner settle for a minute or two before applying my moisturiser, and I’ve found that Serozinc and Effaclar Duo [+] really are the dream team when it comes to combatting blemishes!

I’ve noticed a considerable difference in my skin since I started using Serozinc 2 weeks ago, with my oily t-zone appearing a lot less shiny and the angry blemishes on my chin are now few and far between. Any breakouts are quickly dealt with and I’ve also noticed a reduction in the appearance of any post-blemish marks left behind on my chin and cheeks. All in all I’ve been very impressed with this toner, so much so that it’s now a staple in my evening skincare routine.

You can find Serozinc on the Escentual website (£8.50/150ml), and what’s even better is that Escentual are currently offering 20.15% off of everything on the website so you’re really getting yourself a bargain there. You’ll need to be quick though, as the deal ends at 11.59 tomorrow night.
