Happy November everyone! Another month has come and gone in a flash, and that means it’s time for me to put together a few favourites from October. The month of October saw me cutting down on trying new products and doing a fair bit of shopping my stash instead, and this is very evident in my picks below. I hate to be repeating myself but there are a few products I just can’t stop including on the blog, so I apologise for that!
I’ll start with my makeup favourites (the most exciting place to start, obviously). This past month I’ve ditched higher coverage foundations for the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream and my skin couldn’t be happier with that decision. This CC cream still manages to provide great coverage while feeling super light on the skin, and a little touch of concealer soon takes care of any unruly blemishes. MAC Coygirl has made so many appearances on the blog already but I had to include in this favourites post as I have far too much for this blue-toned pink matte blusher.
In terms of my go-to eye colour, it has to be NARS Fathom. This peachy pink shadow with plenty of silver shimmer is perfect for a single wash of colour over the eyes and is so easy to wear, despite pink eyeshadow sounding a bit scary! Last but not least on the makeup front is lipstick, and MAC Plumful was such an easy choice as this gorgeous plum shade has been on my lips for the majority of the month. A definite Autumn must-have!
October saw my skin go a bit hay-wire with breakouts on my chin and little bumps on the skin. Enter The Body Shop Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion, a cooling lotion that has done such a great job of calming my skin down overnight. I also wanted to include a hair favourite this month, and surprisingly it’s a product that I used to find so disappointing. The Bumble and Bumble Thickening Hairspray was a product I just couldn’t get to grips with, but now I absolutely love it. A few sprays of this in the roots while my hair is damp gives me so much volume after blowdrying, something that my long and flat hair has been in great need of.
I’d love to know – what were your October favourites?
