January has definitely been a good month in terms of lots of lovely new products to try, and today I wanted to share with you a couple of new haircare products that I’ve been testing out over the last few weeks. When it comes to haircare I don’t tend to be loyal to just one brand or product as I love to change it up and find amazing new products, so I’m sure you will have plenty more posts like this coming your way in 2016!
VO5 Shape My Style Creation Hairspray in Dramatic Volume – This impulse purchase was the result of the recent VO5 ad campaign that seemed to pop up before every video I was watching on YouTube. I’m always on the lookout for products that will add volume to my naturally straight and flat hair so this one was a no brainer, and I’m happy to say that it does indeed add a lot of volume to the roots! This hairspray is a little different as you use it to style your hair rather than to set it, with some being sprayed on the roots after backcombing and then brushed into whatever style takes your fancy. You can achieve really big hair with this hairspray and it does a great job of holding the volume too, but make sure to properly brush through the hair after spraying as it can go really crispy and hard.
Tigi S-Factor Smoothing Shampoo – I might be getting a bit of ahead of myself, but this may be the best everyday shampoo that I’ve tried in a long time! I managed to snap up this huge 750ml bottle in TK Maxx for just £8 (seriously, you need to check out their beauty section the next time you’re in) and I’ve been loving it so far. This shampoo has a gorgeous strawberry that really wakes me up in the shower and also lingers on the hair for a little while, and I’ll be honest when I say I would keep using this shampoo just for the scent – even if it wasn’t doing anything particularly amazing for my hair. Thankfully there’s nothing to worry about as this shampoo leaves my hair feeling incredibly smooth and healthy after every use, and adds just enough moisture without encouraging my oily roots. All in all a great shampoo that I’d definitely recommend if you’re looking for soft and smooth hair!
I’d love to know – what haircare products are you loving right now?
