It has been almost 3 months since we got back from our honeymoon in Florida, so it was about time I posted about our trip of a lifetime! I’ve decided to split the holiday into a number of photo diaries and I’m very excited to share the first one with you.. of course it had to be Magic Kingdom. I’m a massive Disney fan with a bit of an obsession with my overflowing Disney DVD collection, so you can imagine how excited I was to finally visit Walt Disney World in Florida! Keep scrolling for a few of my favourite snaps from Magic Kingdom..
I was bursting with excitement as we made our way over to Magic Kingdom on the Ferryboat, and walking along Main Street USA was such a lovely way to start the day. Between the gorgeous shops, restaurants and buildings it really was a special place to walk through, and seeing the crowds of Minnie Mouse ears made it an even more exciting experience!
We made it to Cinderella’s Castle just in time to catch one of the morning shows, and I was so happy that it was Frozen themed! There are so many little moments from Magic Kingdom that I won’t forget, and singing along to Let It Go with everyone else gathered around the castle is one of them.
Another highlight of the day was catching the Festival of Fantasy Parade! We got there early to make sure we had a great spot for watching the parade, and despite being out in the sun on the hottest day of our holiday for quite a while, it was well worth it! The characters and floats looked incredible, and the atmosphere was just as amazing!
In between the show at Cinderella’s Castle and the Festival of Fantasy Parade we managed to go on our fair share of rides, and eventually we needed to take a break and get something to eat. We popped along to Tony’s Town Square Restaurant in Main Street USA for a pizza and it got off to a great start when we were greeted by a lovely girl from Stirling at the front desk. There was something about being surrounded by artwork from Lady and the Tramp that made the meal that bit more special, and although the pizza ended up being pretty expensive for what it was, we still enjoyed the experience!
Of course I had to drag David along to the nearest shop as soon as we got into the park as I was desperate to get my first visit badge! We also got a Happily Ever After badge each and I proudly showed it off the whole time we were at Disney.
Before we knew it it was time to set up camp along Main Street USA for the Electrical Parade which turned out to be an amazing show! Standing there in the dark, having all of the incredible floats going past, was just so magical and it’s an experience I’ll never forget.
Last but not least it was time to return to Cinderella’s Castle for the Wishes Nighttime Spectacular, and boy was it spectacular! The fireworks show and its narration was so moving, to the point where I was welling up, and it was the perfect end to a magical day in Magic Kingdom.
Keep your eyes peeled for the next photo diary from our honeymoon, but until then, I hope you’ve enjoyed this little peek into our day at Magic Kingdom!
