Urban Decay Naked Palette

You’ve probably heard the sad news by now, but if not, I hate to break it to you that Urban Decay are discontinuing the original Naked Palette. I was a bit late to the party on this one as I only got my hands on the palette this year (after I’d already fallen in love with the Naked 3 and both Naked Basics) but I’m here today to tell you just how much I love the original Naked Palette.

If you’re a fan of all things neutral when it comes to eyeshadow then you’re going to adore this palette, trust me! Made up of a mix of 12 beautiful shimmers and mattes in a selection of neutral shades, this palette is now my go-to for a quick everyday eye look whether it’s a sweep of colour across the lids or a super easy smokey eye that’s still appropriate for work.

As well as offering a great selection of colours, the palette also boasts the buttery smooth formula that we’ve all come to know and love from Urban Decay. Every powder in the palette is easy to apply and blends like a dream, and I like to use my double ended Urban Decay shadow brush (the one found in Naked 3) as I find it packs the colour on so well.

My picks from the palette have to be Sin, Sidecar, Half Baked and Toasted – AKA the shimmers – and I can already see myself picking up a back-up palette before it disappears from the shops. It’s just that good. I’d love to know – have you tried the original Naked Palette or are you planning to pick it up before it’s gone?
